DMTC is an Unincorporated Body and not a Charity.  Therefore, we do not attract discounts etc. on VAT, nor do we receive any grants for putting on our shows that many other organisations do.  We are entirely self-funding with the bulk of our annual income coming from the shows we put on, together with subscriptions from Members and Patrons.  None of our Members are paid anything for performing or taking part and that includes anyone who takes on the role of Musical Director or Director (although we sometimes pay ‘visiting’ directors who are not Members).

We are always delighted to receive and accept cash donations.

If you prefer we can keep your support private or if you wish, acknowledge your kindness on our website, in a show programme and/or in our newsletter.

In the first instance please get in touch for details on how you can send us a cheque or make a bank transfer.

Sponsorship

We are very fortunate in owning our own theatre at Brigend – but as with all old buildings, it is in constant need of repair.  All the profits from ticket sales go toward its maintenance, upkeep and development.  As many of you know, recently we have been investing heavily in a programme of improvements. Sponsoring some aspect of what we do would acknowledge your commitment to helping to preserve the arts and community theatre in Dumfries.

You could sponsor something related to one of our productions, receive acknowledgement and thanks on our website and in a show programme and be recognised as a supporter of your local community and its arts programmes.

If you would like to discuss ways in which you could help us, or receive a list of sponsorship opportunities, please get in touch.
